California Online Learning Collaborative

This project of California County Superintendents Educational Services Association (CCSESA) builds on the California eLearning Framework to provide a series of next steps to help County Offices of Education and districts with their efforts to implement online and blended learning opportunities. The Collaborative is focusing on four key areas:

  1. Resources development and sharing. These will build on the eLearning Framework and provide a deeper dive into specific issues, with new documents and presentations, and existing resources shared by collaborative partners.
  2. Develop recommendations for state (and perhaps federal) policy changes.
  3. Synchronous communications: to identify resource needs, share resources, share practices and lessons learned.
  4. Asynchronous communications — modeling the use of a learning management system

Evergreen is working with the Collaborative to match existing resources against identified needs, develop a list of policy issues to be addressed with initial recommendations,  create a communication plan and schedule, and provide a collaborative project management process.
